The Breadfan: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

The bulk carrier 'Breadfan' faced a harrowing drone strike while nearing the port of Novorossiysk on August 7, 2028. The vessel, which had departed from Nemrut on July 27 and was headed to Poti, was targeted by Ukrainian drones during its approach to the Black Sea port. In an attempt to defend against the incoming threats, a Russian fighter jet, identified as either an SU-27 or SU-35, engaged the drones but was unsuccessful in intercepting them. The attack resulted in considerable damage to the accommodation block near the funnel; however, the ship remained operational and successfully navigated into port. Following this incident, eight Filipino crew members of the 'Breadfan' returned to Manila on August 16. They arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City, traveling aboard Turkish Airlines flight TK084.
