Reviews & Ratings for the Ocean-Fortune

On September 12, 2026, the vessel 'New Dolphin' was detained in Tianjin following the identification of six significant deficiencies. These deficiencies raised serious safety concerns onboard. The shortcomings include issues related to fire safety, specifically regarding fire doors and openings in divisions with fire-resisting properties, and further issues in the structural divisions, including decks and bulkheads, which were not the responsibility of the Recognized Organization (RO). Additionally, the ship encountered problems with the steering gear alarm, the magnetic compass crucial for navigation, and remote means of control for essential machinery spaces including pumps and ventilation systems. Moreover, there were complications with ventilators, air pipes, and casings affecting the vessel's water andweathertight integrity. The detention highlights the importance of adhering to regulatory standards to ensure safety at sea.
