What Crew Members Say About Oceanis

On August 31, 2026, at approximately 8 PM UTC, the tanker 'Senegal Prosperity', which was transporting an impressive two million barrels of Saudi crude oil, came under fire as it navigated the perilous Strait of Hormuz—situated around 17 nautical miles east of Khasab. The vessel, recently acquired by a South Korean company in February 2026, had just loaded its cargo at the Juaymah terminal in Saudi Arabia. Thankfully, all crew members aboard the tanker managed to escape unharmed, and there has been no verified report of cargo loss or oil leakage following the attack. The incident raises ongoing concerns regarding maritime security in this vital shipping corridor.

In a recent development, a charter has been successfully secured for a period of three plus three months, with a daily rate of $27,125. This deal marks a significant collaboration with KOCH, highlighting the ongoing demand for maritime services in the current market environment. Stakeholders are optimistic about the future prospects arising from this agreement.
