Working Conditions Aboard the Z47-De-Marie-Louise

In a notable development within the maritime industry, the 'Z-47 De Marie Louise', a trawler owned by the Zeebrugge-based Nauticaa BV, is set to be auctioned off in August due to creditor requests. Interested bidders can submit their offers on auctionline.be between August 1 and August 31, 2026, as announced by bailiff Axel Leys' office in Bruges. The vessel has been out of operation, docked at the Ostend Fishing Dock since the end of 2025. This trawler, constructed in 1992 at the renowned Zeebrugge Shipyards, received a powerful 1,145 kW ABC engine during a refurbishment in 2020. Regular maintenance was performed at Padmos in Stellendam, where crew accommodations were upgraded in 2022. The owner of Nauticaa, Pedro Dermit from Spain, also has ties to the 'Z-48 De Maria Antonia', another vessel under Aegir shipping company, which has been inactive for some time. This shipping company faced bankruptcy in May, and discussions regarding the future of the 'Z-48 De Maria Antonia' are still pending with the bankruptcy trustee.
