Authorities boarded the cruise ship and, upon checking passenger details, discovered the warrant for his arrest. Moreover, the Aidaluna’s operational real-time response capabilities were once again exemplified on July 12, 2023, when the Kirkwall lifeboat was called to perform a medical evacuation from the vessel. Earlier that day, the ship had visited Kirkwall, and when the emergency arose, the lifeboat crew quickly mobilized, demonstrating an effective collaborative response. The medical case was successfully managed, with the casualty transferred to Kirkwall harbor and subsequently to an ambulance for further care.
