One notable incident occurred on February 2, 2016, when the ferry ran aground on a stone jetty in the inner part of Hou. This incident took place shortly after 6:35 a.m. as the vessel was leaving port at a low speed. The grounding raised concerns over potential propeller damage, prompting operator Samsø Rederi to cancel all sailings while a diving company conducted investigations on the rudder and propeller. Fortunately, after a brief suspension of services, Ane-Laesoe resumed operations by February 3, successfully entering the port of Kolby Kas around 8 a.m. The grounding was believed to be influenced by strong winds, a factor that can significantly affect maneuverability in coastal waters.

The challenges continued on March 31, 2019, when the same vessel faced inclement weather conditions en route to Frederikshavn. As it approached the dock in Vesterø, the ferry allided with the dock, resulting in damage to a critical packing rail that maintains the vessel’s watertight integrity. Repair work began promptly, and Ane-Laesoe was able to depart from Læsø later that evening at 7:30 p.m., demonstrating the efficiency of emergency repairs.
