Earlier, on August 19, 2024, a work accident at the Port of Piraeus brought attention to the safety of the crew onboard the Blue-Star-Paros. A 21-year-old crew member was injured after being struck by a vehicle while unloading cargo. The incident underscored the potential hazards faced by crew members during daily operations. The sailor received immediate first aid and was subsequently taken to a private clinic for further treatment. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus initiated a preliminary investigation to assess the incident's circumstances.

In another safety-related matter, on December 23, 2022, the vessel was involved in a medical emergency when an 18-month-old toddler on board required urgent medical attention. The ferry, which was on its way from Syros to Piraeus, promptly returned to Syros, where the toddler was transferred to the General Hospital for necessary care. This incident demonstrated the importance of the crew's responsiveness in emergencies, despite the challenging nature of the maritime environment.
