On April 29, 2023, the crew requested assistance for an 84-year-old woman who was potentially suffering a stroke while the ship was approximately 86 miles from San Clemente Island. This call for help came on the heels of other rescue efforts that day involving two other cruise ships. A Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched and successfully airlifted the distressed passenger, showcasing the ship's commitment to passenger safety.

The migrants were transferred onto the ship, where they received medical checks and were found to be in good condition. Collaborating with the Coast Guard from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, the Carnival-Spirit ensured that the migrants were safely transferred to a Coast Guard vessel, allowing it to continue its journey to Aruba.
