Ciudad-De-Cadiz, the Airbus carrier, recently regained its floating status after an 11-day grounding incident, which posed significant concerns for its structural integrity. On February 9 at 10 a.m., following a high tide of 9.3 meters and beneficial low air pressure, the vessel was successfully refloated. Tugs strategically aided in the maneuver, pushing and pulling the vessel to ensure it was safely brought back to the Port of Mostyn, where it underwent an initial safety examination. After this examination, the Ciudad-De-Cadiz departed for Holyhead on February 10, arriving at 07:50 a.m. This marks a crucial step as the vessel is now slated for extensive underwater structural surveys to ascertain any potential damage incurred during its grounding.
