In a strategic move to enhance its operational capacity, CMA CGM has recently acquired two 6,500 TEU vessels, including the Cma-Cgm-Cleveland. The French shipping giant purchased the sisters HS Paris and HS Rome from Germany's Hansa Treuhand for a total investment of $13.5 million each. These acquisitions are part of CMA CGM's broader strategy to strengthen its position in the competitive container shipping market amidst fluctuating demand.

In addition to expanding its fleet, CMA CGM has made significant strides in its chartering activities. The company has extended a 50 to 70-day charter with MSC, focusing on trade routes between the Mediterranean and the US East Coast. This extension signals the robust demand for shipping capacity across these key routes, especially as the global supply chain continues to recover from recent disruptions.

Furthermore, the Cma-Cgm-Cleveland has been freshly chartered to MSC at a rate of $15,500 per day, showcasing CMA CGM's strategic positioning to leverage lucrative charter opportunities.
