The inspection revealed three deficiencies on board, with one deficiency deemed critical enough to warrant the ship's immediate detention. After resolving the issues, the 'Aasfjord' departed from Delfzijl on September 3, setting sail towards Amsterdam, where it docked on September 4. It continued its journey to Port Talbot, successfully arriving on September 7.
Injury Reported Following Engine Room Incident on Aasfjord in Dordrecht
An incident in the engine room of the Aasfjord led to a man's injury on April 28, 2015, at approximately 12:10 p.m. The vessel was docked at the s-Gravendeelse dike in Dordrecht's industrial area when the accident occurred. Emergency services, including two ambulances, the fire brigade, and a helicopter, were promptly dispatched to the scene. However, it was soon determined that the assistance of the Mobile Medical Team was unnecessary. The injured individual suffered facial injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.
