Port Qasim in Pakistan has officially launched its modern bulk terminal, specializing in coal, clinker, and cement, heralded by the arrival of the bulk carrier African Finfoot on the weekend of April 29-30, 2017. This inaugural visit signifies a key development for the terminal, with African Finfoot delivering a substantial cargo of 41,510 metric tons of coal for Awan Trading, a prominent importer and exporter. Following closely, the Iris Oldendorff docked at the terminal on May 2, 2017, marking a successful beginning for the facility. Operated by Pakistan International Bulk Terminal Limited (PIBTL), this advanced terminal boasts a vast 62-acre storage area and is geared to handle up to 12 million tons of cargo annually, positioning itself as a major player in the region's bulk transport sector.
