In the early hours of December 23, 2021, the Port Authority of Corfu received a report regarding the allision incident involving the vessel 'Agia Eirini'. While attempting to moor at the Mantouki basin, the ship collided with the quay, attributed to a failure in the transmission controls that hindered communication between the bridge and the engine room. This unfortunate event resulted in significant damage to the bow of the ship, measuring approximately three meters in length and extending 30 centimeters above the waterline. On June 26, 2019, the passenger ro-ro vessel Agia Eirini encountered a significant malfunction with its starboard main engine while operating near Corfu, Greece. In the meantime, all passengers were safely disembarked and transferred to another vessel for their journey.
