At the time of the incident, the vessel was en route from Piraeus to the Agia Marina port of Aegina, carrying 51 passengers along with two vehicles. To ensure minimal disruption, the shipowner arranged alternative transportation for all passengers and their vehicles to reach their intended destinations.
