In a landmark achievement, Qatargas has announced its successful delivery of the 3,000th Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cargo to Japan. This significant milestone follows the company’s inaugural Qatari LNG shipment to the Kawagoe LNG Receiving Terminal on January 10, 1997. The milestone cargo, transported aboard the 'Al Jasra', a conventional LNG carrier with a capacity of 135,000 cubic meters, was received by JERA, a collaboration between Chubu Electric and Tokyo Electric. The delivery took place at the Kawagoe LNG Receiving Terminal, which is under the management of JERA, underscoring the robust partnership between Qatargas and the Japanese energy sector.
