On March 22, 2018, at 05:15 a.m., the cargo m/v 'Pac Seginus' (IMO: 9443358) encountered an unfortunate incident while departing Kandla Port in Gujarat, bound for Suez. The vessel was involved in an allision with the anchored tanker 'Nautical Global XVI', which was in cold layup at Kandla Outer Tanker Berth (OTB) anchorage. The collision resulted in the loss of the port side anchor of the 'Pac Seginus', sending it adrift into close proximity of another anchored tanker, 'Tiger Integrity' (IMO: 9760574). Fortunately, quick actions were taken to regain control of the vessel before it was successfully anchored once again. In addition to the lost anchor, the cargo ship also sustained damage to its ballast tanks. Following the incident, the 'Pac Seginus' was re-anchored near the site of the collision while assessments were made.

Ration supplies dwindled to critically low levels last week, prompting the captains of the Nautical Global VII and Nautical Global XVI to urgently contact Kandla port authorities for food and water assistance. Since February 27, both tankers have been
