In a remarkable achievement for India's energy sector, TATA Power, the country’s foremost integrated private power utility, marked a historic moment with the arrival of its first Capesize vessel, 'Trust Integrity'. This vessel successfully delivered coal to the 4000 MW Ultra Mega Power Project located in Mundra. According to reports from SteelGuru, 'Trust Integrity' docked at Mundra Port on July 27, 2011, heralding a new era for maritime coal transportation in the region. The vessel, boasting a deadweight tonnage of 181,000 DWT, was constructed by STX Shipyard in Korea and is operated by Singapore’s Trust Energy Resources Pte Ltd. On its maiden voyage, the Capesize ship transported coal sourced from KPC / Arutmin mines in Indonesia, aiming to fuel the burgeoning energy needs of India.
