After resuming its journey at 11 a.m., the pilot observed a noticeable oil film surrounding the vessel while it was located at Schülp. Consequently, the local water police imposed a safety fine of €3,000 on the ship. The Amber Trader completed its transit through the canal by 6:40 p.m. and continued to sail towards the Elbe, setting a course for Bilbao, with an estimated arrival date of January 27.

On June 12, 2010, the vessel 'Lara,' identified by IMO number 9180853, experienced engine difficulties while navigating near Canakkale at approximately 5:50 p.m. The ship was en route from Ceuta when the mechanical issues necessitated a swift response. To safely address the problems, the 'Lara' anchored in Karanlik Bay shortly after at 6:50 p.m., initiating necessary repairs to restore functionality.
