On the evening of September 21, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the CROSS Corsen was alerted to a critical situation involving the 'Amellia', which reported an engine failure while navigating north of Pointe du Raz. The vessel was traveling from Liepaja to Walvis Bay when it encountered a breakdown of its main propulsion system.
