On June 4, 2023, the bulk carrier 'Ghent Max' continued to be docked at Hansaport in Hamburg after experiencing a grounding incident on the Elbe River. The incident occurred at river kilometer 715 on June 2 at 9:15 PM. The vessel, which was traveling from Riga, encountered a malfunction in its cooling water system, prompting the crew to execute an emergency anchoring maneuver by 8:15 PM near fairway buoy 46. Due to its positioning at the edge of the fairway, tugboats 'Bugsier 16' and 'Bugsier 15', alongside the anti-pollution vessel 'Neuwerk', were deployed to assist. Just an hour later, the engine issues were addressed; however, when the anchor was lifted, the 'Ghent Max' became lodged off the Medem River. It wasn't until the morning of June 3 that tugboats successfully freed the vessel, allowing it to proceed towards Hamburg under the guidance of tugs 'Bugsier 10' and 'Bugsier 21'.

On the evening of June 2, 2013, the bulk carrier 'Ghent Max' found itself aground in the Elbe River near Otterndorf while making its journey from Riga to Hamburg. A swift response ensued as multiple tugboats, including 'Wolf', 'Bugsier 10', 'Bugsier 15', 'Bugsier 21', 'Neuwerk', and 'Bürgermeister Brauer', were dispatched to facilitate the vessel's refloating. The operation proved successful, and by June 3 at 1:30 p.m., the 'Bugsier 10' and 'Bugsier 21' successfully maneuvered the 'Ghent Max' to safety at Hamburg Hansaport.
