On June 29, 2025, the bulk carrier 'Angy R', traveling from Constanta to Bejaia, encountered trouble and ran aground off the picturesque shores of Gaziköy, located in Tekirdağ. In a quick response, the tugboats 'Kurtarma 9' (IMO: 9598581) and 'Kurtarma 17' (IMO: 9942990) were dispatched to assist in the challenging salvage operation. Coordinated by the Çanakkale Ship Traffic Services Center, the dedicated teams managed to successfully refloat the vessel. Following the successful operation, the 'Angy R' was escorted by the lifeboat 'Kiyem 4' (MMSI: 271042658) to ensure a safe journey. The vessel was ultimately towed to the Tekirdağ Anchorage Area, where it was moored at coordinates 40° 57' N 027° 32' E.
