The swift response from the Dorset and Somerset Fire Service, alongside the Teignmouth Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT), played a crucial role in tackling the emergency. Following the outbreak, the fire service promptly notified the Coastguard, prompting the CRT to mobilize for information gathering and support. Additionally, a duty surveyor and the Duty Coastal Pollution and Salvage Officer (DCPSO) were promptly informed of the situation. The Plymouth marine office was also alerted and dispatched personnel to the scene on the morning of July 13, ensuring oversight and management of the incident.
