On April 27, 2024, the Port Authority of Syros received urgent notice from the Master of the ferry 'Artemnis' regarding a significant malfunction of its stern ramp. This incident occurred shortly after the vessel's departure from Parikia, Paros, while it was en route to Syros. Despite the ramp issue, the ferry successfully navigated to Syros, where it safely discharged a total of 80 passengers, along with 16 vehicles, three trucks, and six two-wheeled vehicles. In response to the situation, the Port Authority of Syros has imposed a ban on the ferry's operations until the necessary repairs are completed and a maintenance certificate from the overseeing classification society is provided.

In response, the Port Authority initially placed a sailing restriction on the vessel. However, after the crew provided a maintenance certificate from the overseeing classification society, the sailing ban was lifted. The 'Artemis' then successfully embarked on its scheduled voyage to the islands of Paros, Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos, and Milos, carrying a total of 59 passengers.
