On August 18, 2015, at approximately 4 p.m., a significant blaze erupted aboard the luxury yacht 'Blue Vision' while it was docked at the historic jetty opposite the iconic cathedral in Palma de Mallorca. Quick action from the local fire brigade, in collaboration with the police, prevented the fire from spreading to nearby vessels. The fire was brought under control in just about one and a half hours. In the aftermath, the Guardia Civil initiated an investigation, with initial reports suggesting an electrical short circuit may have been the possible cause of the incident.
