Auction Results: Lavina Transferred to Kavan Shipping Ltd.
On June 18, 2013, the vessel 'Lavina' was sold at auction to Kavan Shipping Ltd., based in Antigua, for a sum of €685,000. Following the sale, the ship is required to vacate the port of Papenburg by August. The 'Lavina' had been arrested in February prior to the auction. Kavan Shipping Ltd. was the sole bidder for the ship, which currently has a minimal crew of two, consisting of members from Ukraine and Lithuania. Notably, the rest of the crew had departed the vessel back in November 2012.
