The Bluefish: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On May 13, 2019, the freighter 'Bluefish,' which was making its way from Novorossiysk to Antwerp, experienced a technical malfunction at the northern entrance of the Istanbul Strait. In a prompt response to the situation, the tugboat 'Kurtarma 2' was dispatched to aid in towing the disabled vessel to the Tuzla shipyard area. The two vessels commenced their journey through the strait on May 15 at 7 a.m. To ensure a safe transit, a coastal safety tug accompanied them, providing crucial escort services and maintaining traffic safety during the operation. The 'Bluefish' successfully reached Tuzla at 3:45 p.m. on the same day, docking at the coordinates 40° 50.16' N and 029° 16.48' E. After undergoing necessary repairs, the freighter departed from Tuzla on June 25, setting sail for Piombino with an expected arrival time of July 1.
