On July 16, 2025, the cargo vessel 'Bob' was detained in Mersin due to a total of 29 deficiencies found during inspections, with four significant issues leading to its detention. The serious concerns included inoperative rescue boats, an insufficient number of inflatable liferafts, inadequate lifebuoys not meeting required standards, and damage to cargo and other hatchways impacting water and weather tightness. After addressing these critical safety violations, the ship was released on July 22, 2025, and subsequently set sail for Alexandria, anticipating arrival on July 24.
