Throughout the evening, firefighting crews maintained a vigilant watch to ensure no additional water was accumulating within the vessel. By the following day, August 3, 'Bolsøy', equipped with firefighters and pumping apparatus on board, made its way to Fiskerstrand Shipyard for necessary repairs. Meanwhile, the ferry company arranged alternative transportation for passengers needing to return to Hellesylt. Notably, while two ferries typically operate between Geiranger and Hellesylt, the presence of 'Bolsøy' at the quay prevented the second ferry from docking.
