In a landmark event for the UK's energy sector, the Bu Samra, one of the globe's leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers, docked at the Isle of Grain terminal in Kent on Wednesday. This marks the first arrival of a Q-Max class tanker at the facility since the commissioning of a new jetty in December 2010, which expanded its capability to accommodate such large vessels. The Bu Samra, with a remarkable capacity to transport 265,000 cubic meters of LNG, underscores a significant step in enhancing the UK’s energy infrastructure.
