The Bw-Adolo: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

BW Offshore proudly announced the successful production of first oil from the BW Adolo Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit on Sunday, marking a significant milestone just 18 months after initial investments were made in the Dussafu license offshore Gabon. CEO Carl K. Arnet remarked, "Achieving first oil from the Dussafu license within both budget and timeline demonstrates the effectiveness of our operational strategy, which focuses on leveraging proven resources alongside an adaptable organization and accessible production assets for rapid time-to-oil deliveries." The BW Adolo, which reached Gabon in late July, completed the essential mooring systems setup and the installation of risers and umbilicals by September, all accomplished safely without any incidents to personnel or the environment. The FPSO is positioned on the Tortue field, part of the five noted discoveries within the Dussafu license area. The BW Adolo, a converted Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), boasts a remarkable production capacity of 40,000 barrels of oil per day. The vessel underwent extensive life extension modifications, which have further enhanced its production capabilities due to positive reserve evaluations.
