The vessel in question, Calipso, boasts a deadweight tonnage of 73,691 and was constructed in 2005. Under the terms of this deal, the daily charter rate is set at $6,000, with a deduction of 5% commission applicable for third-party interests.

Diana Shipping Inc., a prominent player in the global shipping industry with a focus on dry bulk vessel operations, has announced a new time charter agreement with Cargill International S.A., based in Geneva. This contract involves the Panamax dry bulk carrier, m/v Calipso, and is set at a gross daily charter rate of $8,100, subject to a commission of 4.75% for third-party payments. The charter period is scheduled for a minimum of 21 months and could extend up to 25 months, representing a significant commitment in the shipping sector.
