The vessel was traveling from Barletta, Italy, to Damietta, Egypt, carrying a cargo of fertilizers when it encountered difficulties at coordinates 34° 35' 42" N, 25° 07' 51" E. In a swift response, a Greek Army helicopter was deployed to aid the stricken ship. During the incident, an oiler among the crew sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention. Fortunately, the injured crew member was successfully airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
