Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has officially announced the delivery of the LNG carrier CESI Beihai, marking a significant milestone for the joint venture that includes MOL, China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC). The vessel was handed over at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. facility in Shanghai on June 1. CESI Beihai is notably the third vessel assigned to the 'China FOB Transportation Project,' which was unveiled back in April 2013. As part of its ongoing operations, the CESI Beihai is set to embark on a long-term charter, facilitating the transportation of LNG purchased by SINOPEC from the Australia Pacific LNG project, further enhancing China's energy security.
