On April 21, 2021, the cargo vessel 'Clipper Venus' experienced a critical engine failure while making its passage from Jorf Lasfar to Yuzhny. The incident occurred in the Marmara Sea at coordinates 40° 48' 24" N, 28° 33' 00" E, leaving the vessel adrift.
