In an intriguing incident on May 27, 2022, the crew of the freighter 'Coe Anna' made a surprising discovery of four stowaways from Albania while docked at the Scheer Port in Kiel. The vessel was in the process of loading several yachts, notably a Swedish motor yacht that had been moored at Tiessen Quay for several weeks, destined for Southampton, UK. The crew noticed unusual activity on the yacht, which led them to uncover the hidden stowaways. Upon making the discovery, the captain promptly notified local authorities. As a result, the stowaways attempted to escape and conceal themselves; however, the crew's vigilance paid off, and they managed to locate one individual—a 24-year-old man holding an Albanian identity card. This man had recently traveled from Bremen, where he had met three other migrants sharing the same ambition of reaching England. They then climbed over the ISPS security fence and managed to board the vessel via a rope, accessing the yacht through an open hatch. Their presence was detected when further yachts were being loaded on May 27. Following the incident, the 24-year-old was taken to a refugee center located in Neumünster, while the search for the remaining stowaways continued.

On December 8, the freighter "Ocean Voyager" was successfully refloated after running aground near Drøbaksundet in the Oslo Fjord, next to the Storegrunnen lighthouse and just north of Askholm. Following a series of unsuccessful attempts to free the vessel, the tugboat "John" from Horten was dispatched to assist alongside the tug "Bruse" from Oslo. By 3 p.m. on the same day, the freighter was back on course towards Oslo, aided by the "Bruse", and successfully docked at the Filipstad Multipurpose RoRo Terminal at 4:45 p.m. The circumstances surrounding the grounding remain unclear, with speculations that it could have been caused by engine failure or a navigational error. Fortunately, the vessel sustained only minor water ingress in the forepeak, which will be examined further at the quay.
