Corfu-Spirit Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On March 17, 2023, the Port Authority of Igoumenitsa received reports at midday regarding an unfortunate incident involving a crew member of the 'Corfu Spirit'. During the vessel's departure preparations, the crew member slipped and fell on the ramp, resulting in injuries. Emergency services quickly transported the injured individual via ambulance to the emergency department in Igoumenitsa for initial treatment. Subsequently, he was moved to Filiaton General Hospital for further care. In response to the incident, the Central Port Authority of Igoumenitsa has initiated a preliminary investigation to review the circumstances surrounding the injury.

On September 24, 2015, at approximately 5:05 PM, the ferry 'Olympiada', operating on the Kerch to Kavkaz route, experienced an allision with pier No. 7 in Kerch. The impact occurred at the bow of the vessel, resulting in significant damage to a five-meter section of the pier. In addition to the structural damage, the ferry's starboard bow sustained a noticeable dent, and four cars alongside two trucks onboard were also affected during the incident.
