On May 16, 2019, the US Coast Guard successfully executed a medevac operation for a crewmember aboard the 'Bow Gallant', situated 35 miles northeast of South Padre Island, Texas. The incident unfolded in the afternoon when the captain of the vessel alerted Coast Guard Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi about the urgent medical needs of one of the crew members. Following a thorough consultation with the duty flight surgeon, the decision for a medevac was swiftly made. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi was dispatched to the scene, successfully transporting the patient to Valley International Airport, where emergency medical services were ready to provide further care.

Lauritzen Kosan has announced a strategic partnership with Norwegian Odfjell Gas, involving the integration of two of Odfjell Gas's ethylene carriers, Bow Guardian and Bow Gallant, into Lauritzen Kosan’s ethylene gas carrier pool. Both vessels, with a capacity of 9,000 cbm and constructed in 2008, are siblings to the already established vessels, Stella Kosan, Stina Kosan, and Sophia Kosan. Thomas Wøidemann, President of Lauritzen Kosan, expressed his enthusiasm about the deal, stating, 'I am very pleased with the agreement with Odfjell Gas as it will strengthen our position in the ethylene gas carrier segment.'
