On August 11, 2018, the bulk carrier 'Crimson Knight' encountered an unfortunate incident upon its arrival at the Port of Richards Bay. While docked at the Dry Bulk Terminal, the vessel was struck by another ship that was pushed off course by strong southwesterly winds. The 'Crimson Knight', which had just docked after its transit from Toamasina, sustained significant damage to its hull above the waterline. Following necessary repairs, the bulk carrier resumed its journey on August 28 at 10:20 a.m., setting course for Gibraltar with an estimated arrival date of September 19.
