On the evening of September 24, 2019, the ferry 'Cruise Olympia', which operates the Ancona - Igoumenitsa - Patras route, faced a setback due to damage sustained to one of its pitch propellers. Despite this challenge, the vessel managed to proceed with its journey, utilizing the remaining operational propellers. At the time of the incident, the ferry was transporting 108 crew members, 273 passengers, along with 66 cars and 20 trucks. The 'Cruise Olympia' arrived in Patras with the help of tugboats at 9:30 p.m. A preliminary investigation was conducted by the local port authority, leading to the temporary detention of the vessel. Following an inspection and the presentation of a class certificate from the attending classification society, the ferry was permitted to depart again on September 25 at 5:10 a.m. It then set sail towards Igoumenitsa, with an estimated time of arrival set for 11:30 a.m.

In the early morning hours of November 21, 2018, the Port Authority of Igoumenitsa received alarming reports regarding the 'Cruise Olympia ferry'. The vessel was preparing for its transit from Igoumenitsa to Ancona when severe weather conditions wreaked havoc during the boarding process. High winds led to the failure of the stern ropes, resulting in the detachment of two bollards from the quay and leaving the ferry adrift. Fortunately, the crew was able to regain control of the ship using its engines. At the time of the incident, the Ferry, which had recently arrived from Patras, was carrying 139 passengers, 49 vehicles, and 69 trucks. Meanwhile, an additional 263 passengers, along with 50 vehicles, 78 trucks, and two buses, awaited boarding in Igoumenitsa. Upon inspection, significant damage was discovered on the starboard side ramp, which was rendered unusable until repairs could be completed. As a safety measure, the ferry was detained until a certificate of seaworthiness was issued by the attending classification society. Fortunately, the "Hellenic Spirit" emerged unscathed from the encounter. However, the "Cruise Olympia" incurred three noticeable cracks above the waterline on its port side, necessitating immediate repairs and inspections.
