Crystal-Lavender Vessel Reviews and Specifications

On the evening of February 11, 2020, the oil tanker 'Crystal Lavender' encountered an unfortunate engine failure while navigating approximately 40 miles southwest of Lista Lighthouse, just west of Farsund. At around 8 p.m., the vessel began drifting dangerously close to the coast as it was making its way from Lisbon to Lyngdal. In a coordinated response, three tugboats were dispatched to assist the stricken tanker. The tug 'FFS Athos' (IMO: 9714575) successfully secured the 'Crystal Lavender' and towed it towards the safety of Rosfjord. By 3:50 a.m. on February 12, the tanker was safely moored at coordinates 58° 6.95' N and 007° 3.24' E, just off the coast of Lyngdal. Additionally, the offshore tug 'FFS Amaranth' (IMO: 9161912) was on site to provide further support. After undergoing necessary inspections and repairs, 'Crystal Lavender' resumed its journey on February 25, continuing its voyage to Terneuzen.
