Working Conditions Aboard the Da-Kang

In an exciting development for the maritime industry, Coscol, renowned for its expertise in breakbulk, multipurpose, and heavy lift operations, has officially taken delivery of the DA KANG, a multipurpose vessel boasting a deadweight tonnage of 29,840. This marks a significant addition to Coscol's fleet, as the DA KANG is the second vessel in a series of eight heavy-lifters commissioned back in November 2010 from Nantong Ocean Ship Engineering Company and Shanghai Shipyard. Following the successful delivery of the lead vessel DA AN in May, the DA KANG is set to enhance operational capabilities with its impressive dimensions of 179.50 meters in length and 28.00 meters in width. The ship is equipped with two powerful 350 metric ton cranes alongside an additional 100 ton crane, enabling it to lift substantial payloads. Notably, the two larger cranes can work in tandem, offering a remarkable lifting capacity of up to 700 tons, positioning Coscol to take on even more complex projects.
