In the early hours of October 21, 2019, an incident occurred at the Karachi port involving the container vessel 'Da Xin'. At approximately 1:40 a.m., while navigating to its designated berth, 'Da Xin' made contact with the container ship 'Diyala', which was securely moored at Berth 26. The sequence of events unfolded as 'Da Xin' initially collided with Berth 25, subsequently ricocheting and striking 'Diyala'. This unfortunate allision resulted in significant damage to the quay infrastructure. Following the incident, 'Da Xin' successfully docked at the Karachi International Container Terminal. Meanwhile, the 'Diyala' departed Karachi on October 22 at 8:15 a.m., setting course for Jebel Ali, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) scheduled for October 23 at 7:00 a.m.
