This ship was anchored 5.2 nautical miles away from the lifeboat station in the Thames Estuary when a crew member fell seriously ill, prompting a call for help to the Thames Coastguard. Demonstrating impressive efficiency, the Sheerness lifeboat arrived at the scene within just 15 minutes. The ill Russian seaman was swiftly transferred from the ship to the lifeboat.
