Wheat-Laden 'Tsimlyansk' Refloated After Grounding on the Don River
On the evening of August 10, 2019, the cargo ship 'Tsimlyansk', transporting a significant load of wheat, encountered troubles while navigating the Don River near Semikarokorsk. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. as the vessel was making its way from Volgodonsk to Kavkaz. Fortunately, despite the grounding, the ship's hull remained undamaged; however, the incident led to a blockage of the river channel. Thankfully, the situation was resolved swiftly, as the 'Tsimlyansk' was successfully refloated by 11:40 p.m. and was able to resume its journey without further incident.
