In an unprecedented journey, the MV Tasmanic Winter successfully completed its voyage from China to the Port of Rotterdam, delivering 24 newly crafted vessels from Damen's shipyards located in Changde and Yichang. This marks a groundbreaking achievement for Damen, as the Tasmanic Winter navigated the Northern Sea Route along Russia's northern coastline, a route that can shorten travel time by as much as eight days compared to the conventional southern passage. The shipment features an impressive array of Damen's popular tugboats, including the ASD Tugs 2411, ASD Tugs 2009, ASD Tugs 3010 ICE, Stan Tugs 1606, and Stan Pontoons 4512. It also brings along several smaller tug models, as well as two Stan Launch 804s and the highly adaptable Multi Cat 1506. The vessel arrived in Rotterdam on October 28, 2018, marking a significant milestone in maritime transport innovation.
