In a significant development for the offshore industry, DeepOcean AS, part of the DeepOcean Group Holding BV, has been awarded a pivotal contract for marine operations related to the Snorre Expansion Project situated in the North Sea. This contract encompasses a comprehensive scope of services including project management, engineering tasks, and the procurement of anchors essential for risers and umbilicals, alongside crucial offshore installation activities. The ambitious offshore operations will involve the installation of six integrated subsea template structures and manifolds, as well as the deployment of riser and umbilical systems on the Snorre A production platform. To support these efforts, DeepOcean has organized an onshore project team that will operate from its facilities in Haugesund and Stavanger, Norway. Execution of the offshore tasks is slated to utilize DeepOcean's advanced construction vessel, the EDDA FREYA, during the years 2019 and 2020. Rolf Ivar Sørdal, DeepOcean’s Commercial Director for Subsea Services, expressed enthusiasm about the contract win, stating, "DeepOcean is extremely pleased and proud of being awarded this work scope and see it as an important milestone in further developing DeepOcean as a reliable partner within the SURF segment, providing innovative and cost effective solutions to our customers."
