Eidsvaag Vega Touches Ground in Raft Sound but Escapes Damage

On the night of November 22, 2013, the vessel "Eidsvaag Vega" encountered troubles as it ran aground in Raft Sound. Authorities received a distress call at 9:08 a.m. the following morning. Fortunately, the ship successfully refloated under its own power and made its way to Svolvær. Upon arrival, divers examined the vessel and found that the damage was minimal. By November 23, the "Eidsvaag Vega" departed the port, continuing its journey southward.
