Epic Gas Ltd., a prominent player in the LPG shipping industry, has successfully concluded the acquisition of two out of four vessels announced earlier in April 2019. The newly acquired ships, named Kahyasi and Kris Kin, are state-of-the-art, second-hand pressurized LPG carriers that boast a capacity of 11,000cbm. Both vessels were constructed in Japan in 2015, reflecting the company's commitment to modern and efficient shipping solutions.

On April 14, 2019, the cargo vessel 'Kris Kin', while sailing from Mombasa, encountered severe engine piston malfunctions off the picturesque South African East coast, close to Cape St. Lucia. The vessel found itself adrift, moving at a sluggish speed of 2.4 knots and was located at coordinates 27° 05' 07" S, 34° 36' 18" E. The dedicated crew promptly engaged in repair efforts, allowing the ship to resume navigation towards Richards Bay Anchorage. Successfully mooring on April 17 at 8:30 PM, 'Kris Kin' anchored at position 28° 57.05' S, 032° 08.12' E, ensuring the safety of its crew and cargo.
