On August 12, 2021, a heartbreaking tragedy unfolded off the coast of Nouadhibou, where four migrants lost their lives during a rescue operation involving the containership 'Ever Grace'. The vessel attempted to save 34 individuals stranded in a dinghy that had traveled an arduous 650 kilometers from the Canary Islands. In the preceding days, nine other occupants of the dinghy had succumbed to their dire circumstances after spending two weeks at sea without access to food or water. The situation turned critical when another migrant passed away on the deck of the 'Ever Grace' as they awaited medical evacuation by an Air Force rescue helicopter. After completing the rescue mission, the 'Ever Grace', which had departed from Las Palmas, continued on its journey to Amsterdam, arriving at its destination on August 19.

A fresh time charter deal has been established, marking a significant development in maritime logistics. The vessel has recently been delivered after passing the Cape of Good Hope, embarking on its voyage via the East Coast of South America. The redelivery is scheduled within the Singapore-Japan range. The terms of the agreement stipulate a daily rate of $11,500, alongside a notable ballast bonus of $350,000, reflecting the robust operational standards maintained by Louis Dreyfus.
