On July 3, 2025, around noon, the Port Authority of Karystos was alerted by the Greek Coastal Administration regarding an urgent situation in the Municipality of Rafina-Pikermi. Due to a significant fire outbreak, the Unified Coordination Center for Operations and Crisis Management issued a directive preventing the 'Evia Star' ferry from making its scheduled departure for Rafina. This ferry, which was en route on the Marmari-Rafina line, had 125 passengers and 17 crew members onboard at the time. Consequently, the vessel was redirected back to Marmari, leading to the cancellation of all remaining sailing operations for the day.

On September 10, 2018, during the afternoon, the captain of the ferry 'Evia Star' informed the Port Authority of Karystos about a significant issue – the left main engine had failed. This unexpected setback affected the vessel's planned service, which was to travel from Marmaris to Rafina. In response, the ferry 'Panorama' swiftly stepped in to ensure that passengers could continue their journey without disruption. After necessary repairs were completed, the 'Evia Star' was officially detained but subsequently received a class certificate from the shipowner, confirming that it was back in service.

On the morning of August 2, 2018, a noteworthy incident unfolded at Rafina Port when the Central Port Authority received reports regarding the loss of the port side bow anchor from the ferry 'Evia Star'. The vessel was arriving from Marmari when the incident occurred. Following the loss, the ferry was detained for a thorough inspection, ensuring safety and compliance with maritime standards. After the inspection and the renewal of its class certification, the 'Evia Star' was cleared to continue its journey, ensuring minimal disruption to maritime operations.
